We are keeping up the fight. CDTOA’s own resident emissions “students of unsettled science,” Betty Plowman and Lee Brown, were in Sacramento along with an A-List of allied association managers, as well as key scientific and academic critics. They were all there to attend the CARB scientific symposium to review the real health effects of PM2.5 in California.

I would like to thank Drs. Enstrom, McClellan, Lipfert, Moolgavkar, Hesterberg, and all others whose efforts helped publically expose the poor, manipulated science behind CARB’s diesel rules. These are REAL scientists with honor, not tainted by the corruption of EPA and CARB “Granting PAYOLLA schemes,”  or poisoned with the enviro-Kool-Aid. They came to the table with facts and data about studies that can be recreated and proven time and again.

Lee and Betty, my hat’s off to you both for your hard work reaching out to the growing skeptical scientific community now challenging CARB’s premature death propaganda. Maybe this is a first step towards demanding integrity in science again. In my opinion, after watching both sides of the argument, people like Professors Jerrett, Pope, and Ostro have made science and the UC system in this state a laughingstock.

The voodoo, trust-me science presented by CARB’s staff has made me very aware of the incest that prevails in our government today.

it’s not bad enough that CARB Employee of the Year Hein Tran buys his degree from a post office university owned by an Israeli sex deviant (and gets to keep his job), or that Mary Nichols bought her way to an appointment at CARB by then-governor Jerry Brown in 1978. Now we are seeing booty calls for Mr. Californication, Arnold himself, on junkets to Denmark (aren’t mind-altering drugs legal there?)!

Isn’t it interesting how life completes the circle? We are now seeing the new and improved Jerry Brown back as the Dem’s man for governor – again. They surely deserve him and others like him, alaparking-meters for everyone LA Sen. Alan Lowenthal.

As your president in these very difficult times, I would like to say thank you for the great comments you are all making, enlightening our Senators and Assemblymen in our fight for survival.  Assembly members Cox, Niello and Logue, along with others, have been listening to our concerns expressed in your many calls. Keep calling – just call and call again – it all adds up!

Also, thank you to all of you who have called me with your support. I also welcome your comments – to reach me, call (916) 388-9200. Let me know what’s on your mind.

We have a board meeting in Sacramento on March 26th and 27th.  Hope to see you there.  We’re looking for input on the CDTOA broker bill. Look at our website at www.CDTOA.org and call with your comments or suggestions.

Remember, strength in numbers, and don’t forget to “KILL CARB”. You can do that by signing on to the industry and CDTOA supported initiative called the CA Job Initiative. I understand that the site will soon be up and running. You will need to sign up for this and encourage your family and employees to also sign this initiative now!
