On January 4, company owner and president, Brian Ling, sent a letter out to the company’s customers, suppliers, and supporters, announcing the “indefinite closing” of Reliance Trailer Company.

Citing many significant economic hurdles, and overwhelming debt, the company was unable to secure additional financing and no potential purchasers were willing to come forward.

Mr. Ling also said that he was hopeful that a deal would eventually be made and Reliance Trailer would continue to manufacture trailers. He also said,“This is a difficult ending to a company that is within five years of a 100 year anniversary, but with luck this will only be temporary, and our great history of building industry leading products will continue.”
