Well, I used to laughingly say that next they will blame earthquakes and tsunamis on global warming. And then it happened! I’m not surprised that the report linking earthquakes to moisture from hurricanes and typhoons comes out of San Francisco via academic rent-seekers. Just all another example of the absurdities of the junk science behind global warming and PM2.5-related premature deaths. On page 23 is a great article by William Briggs that addresses CARB’s “crack” PM related science.

This article on the right is just another in a growing list of junk research paid for using your hard-earned tax dollars. You (the taxpayer and parents of students) likely paid for the academic junkets to attend the American Geophysical Union meeting in early December in San Francisco. At least it wasn’t all the way in Durban, South Africa, where the UN climate conference just reached an agreement on a far-reaching program meant to set a course for the global fight against CO2 emissions, the gas we exhale and plants breath. The press keeps saying that the U.S. was a reluctant supporter, concerned about agreeing to join an international (anti-U.S.) climate system that likely would find much opposition in the eyes of the informed public, the unemployed and Congress.
The public would throw up if they saw how their tax dollars are wasted by the Department of Energy (DoE), National Science Foundation (NSF), EPA, and other federal agencies for research on campuses today to support of this massive hoax.

All I can say is the “Wdowinski Premise” hasn’t worked in the city where the study was presented in 106 years—we can only hope for some heavy rains there to see if the assertion has merit! See press release below on opposite page.

Incidentally, the NSF is another little known independent federal agency created by Congress in 1950 “to promote the progress of science; to advance the national health, prosperity, and welfare; to secure the national defense…that has been hijacked by environmental activists.” The NSF has an annual budget of about $6.9 billion. With the DoE budget at $27 billion and EPA at $10.5 billion, that makes the total cost to the “makers” of this county a cool $44 billion!
