The measure would suspend air pollution control laws until unemployment rates drop. The ballot states the measure would suspend laws requiring "major polluters" to report and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Manuel Cunha, of the Nisei Farmers League, says, “I'm very disappointed. Very disappointed in the spelling errors that are in that section as well as the language that somehow, someway how could be suddenly make that kind of mistake?” This is the second time Salazar has faced criticism in recent weeks. Victor Salazar, from the Fresno Co. Registrar of Voters, says, “One was a mistake. One wasn't. One was intentional as a result of budgetary reductions. The other was an oversight.” Salazar's office plans to place signs with the correct language at each of the twenty early voting sites open Saturday and all polling locations open on Tuesday.
